We would like to invite you to the screening of Sławomir Grünberg’s film “Nie płacz, kiedy odjadę (Don’t Cry When I’m Gone)” and the meeting with the film director, which will be held on Saturday, 12th of November at 7 PM.
Our monthly meetings with documentary film serve as an introduction to the 26th Media Festival “Man in Danger” (22 – 26 November 2016).
The title Nie płacz, kiedy odjadę references the hit song made famous in the 1960s by an Italian music star, Marino Marini. The lyrics were written by Wanda Sieradzka – a woman who miraculously survived Warsaw ghetto and the Holocaust.
In his film Sławomir Grünberg, a winner of an EMMY award, presents an extraordinary story of Wanda Sieradzka. He sketches a fascinating psychological portrait, allowing Wanda’s friends and her son Zygmunt to talk about her.
The score consists of unforgettable Polish song hits.
The discussion of the film with participation of its director will be led by Anna Michalska.
Free entrance.
