W latach 1975-1979 Kambodża była piekłem na ziemi. Pol Pot, stojący na czele Czerwonych Khmerów, zbudował jedno z najbardziej przerażających państw totalitarnych w historii. Reżyser był tam i wciąż dręczą go wspomnienia. W swój film włącza sceny odgrywane przez ludziki z gliny, żeby opowiedzieć o koszmarze wymykającym się racjonalnemu rozumowaniu.

The Missing Picture

In 1975-1979 Cambodia was hell on earth. Pol Pot, the leader of the Khmer Rouge, founded one of the most horrible totalitarian states in history. The director was there and he is still haunted by memories. He includes in his film the scenes enacted by clay people in order to talk about the horror which barely fits into the limits of rational thinking.
